It is the largest media and entertainment corporation in the world with one of the biggest Hollywood Studios. Initially started as a producer of short motion pictures, Disney’s headquarters are located at The Walt Disney Studios, California.
There have been several Disney classics and the upcoming projects include The Princess and the Frog, Rapunzel and King of the Elves.
The Princess and the Frog- It is an upcoming animated family feature film with a release date of Dec 11, 2009 loosely based on the novel The Frog Princess. The film being directed by John Musker and Ron Clements is an American fairy tale.
The prince of Maldonia is transformed into a frog by the evil voodoo magician Dr. Facilier. The frog prince mistakes a girl for a princess and asks her to kiss him so that the spell is broken. But, instead of breaking the spell, this turns the girl into a frog as well. Now the two of them should approach the good voodoo priestess Mama Odie to get the solution, while befriending a trumpet-playing alligator and an extremely romantic firefly as they go.
Rapunzel- Rapunzel is an upcoming American animated film based on the classic fairy tale by the same name. It is being directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard and is supposed to be released on Nov 24, 2010.
The story plays on the mystery of the girl in the tower and is a musical comedy with heart and sincerity in it. It is a new interpretation of Rapunzel as an independent princess urging people to become who they are supposed to be and requesting parents to let them free so that they achieve that.
King of the Elves- This upcoming animated venture will be directed by Aaron Blaise and Robert Walker. King of the Elves is expected to release on Nov 21, 2012. The film is based on the story by the same name, by Philip K Dick.
The film is about a band of elves and a dwarf who reside in the modern-day Mississippi Delta. They are saved from an evil troll by a human and due to this act of generosity, they name him their king.
